Pest Control

The objective of integrated pest management (IPM) is to reduce direct human exposure to pesticides when other means—such as mechanical, physical, cultural, biological and/or the least environmentally active pesticide approaches—are available. IPM replaces the random and routine chemical application of pesticides in the service environment. Its intent, at times a longer-term approach, maintains healthy facilities by minimizing risks to people and their environment.

It is our objective to use feasible, cost-effective and environmentally safe practices pertaining to pest control and the extermination of insects, pests and rodents. University Facilities & Capital Planning and our licensed service vendors remain at the forefront in introducing innovation and technology into our daily IPM program's operation.
