General Signage Standards
Special Notations – Types J, K, M1 & M2
Exterior  signs  for  building  identification  to  be  seen from a pedestrian level  shall  have  the  Street  Number and the Name of the building, when applicable,  and  the  building  number  with  1  inch  text, as shown on the appropriate pages of this catalogue. (EXT-13 & 14 and EXT-16 & 17)

When  a  buildings  location  makes  it necessary, the names of the street shall be shown under the Street Number on the exterior sign.

Buildings  which  have  no  name  and  are  occupied be one department, may have that department name on the exterior sign.

Buildings  which  have  no  name ,  but  have  a  street  address and have more  than  one  department  or occupant, will be evaluated on a building by  building  basis.  Evaluation  will  be  made  to  determine  the name or names allowed on the exterior sign.

A  letter of justification requesting more than one department or occupant name  must  be  sent  to  the  Campus Director of Facilities Maintenance &Operation for his comment(s) and the the V.P. of Facilities for approval. If  the  sign  is  an  existing  one,  the Campus Director will coordinate the installation  of the department or occupant name. If the sign is a new one, the  Office  of Facilities Design (Marianne Farkas, tel. 732-445-2430 ext. 676)  will  coordinate  the  design  and the inclusion of the name(s) on the sign.
