TEMPORARY PARKING ARRANGEMENTS ON THE LIVINGSTON CAMPUS

EFFECTIVE FALL 2017

The proposed Athletic Performance Center project, including a 5OO space parking deck, will be constructed on the current site of the Scarlet Lot. The project is in design. Construction is expected to start this fall and be completed by June 2019. Most of the Scarlet Lot located adjacent to the Rutgers Athletic Center (RAC) will be closing on or about September 1.  A perimeter fence and a traffic barrier will be installed prior to the start of construction of the new building to safely guide staff and faculty through the remaining portion of the Scarlet Lot. The parking row directly behind the Business School will remain open during construction.  This area will accommodate approximately 40 vehicles. During construction, we are arranging for another portion of the Scarlet Lot, adjacent to Avenue E, to remain open to ease the parking situation. It will accommodate approximately 50 vehicles.  In addition, a temporary crushed stoned lot will be constructed on the east side of the Business School (behind Beck Hall) to accommodate approximately 130 vehicles.  Additional parking is also available in the Green and Yellow lots north of the RAC.
